and see, I didn't do much more than a bit of tweaking here and there ;) I can still see things that I would change- but for me, half the point of this series is to loosen up and be less of a perfectionist- to see what happens when I let the brush speak for me instead of over analyzing......
I also have to admit that I finished another painting in this series but did NOT post about it because I was saving it for this week's challenge at Inspiration Avenue. It was my turn to set the prompt for the week, and as I was trying to decide what the theme should be, "Metamorphosis" popped into my head, along with all these mini visions of paintings that I could do. I love being part of my team in general, but when being part of it helps me get away from artist's block" then, I adore them! And that's how my new series came into being! This is my entry for this week's challenge at Inspiration Avenue:
And while you're at it, try to pop over to Inspiration Avenue tomorrow after noon- all the entries for this week's challenge will be posted- I KNOW they will be a diverse and an absolutely wonderful collection!

Stephanie

Beautiful work Stephanie..fabulous!
Oh my gosh, not one, but two lovely paintings. I think I'm in love. When I saw it, I thought of masks, because she is hiding her face with one. I know that is probably not your intent, but I read that into it. Lovely metamorphosis example.
wow!! the paintings are gorgeous! i really love the first one ... the eyes hide so much yet tell so much!
Color, lite. Beauty.
What I love most? The ENERGY of your art.

Your paintings are beautiful...
So beautiful! I love the new direction your paintings are going. Don't stop painting flowers though! I love those too!
Beautiful paintings! So colorful.
SPEECHLESS!
Really. I don't know what to say.
You know I am your biggest fan...and I love watching your journey. And the blue eyes are killer! And the second (how did you manage 2?)
The second is a masquarade of hidden beauty! Well they both are like a strip tease to the soul...of you...

Both these are amazing but i especially like the second painting - it has such a sense of mystery. It's fascinating - and awe-inspiring - watching your new style develop x
Thursday already? I am so behind and look at all I have missed. Your first painting looks so much better and yes you barely did anything else to it. Sometimes setting something aside for a while helps, we see it differently when we go back.
The second painting is incredible, I love the side view of her face. She makes me think of a Fairy Queen :)
I think it's great you are having fun while going outside your usual style.
