I'm Baaack!

I can't believe it's been almost three weeks since my last post!  But, I was so busy with painting everyone's rooms and moving furniture from one room to the next plus all the MAJOR chaos that went with it...
I just haven't had a chance to paint (except for walls ;)) much less post about it!
But, today, I was able to get back on the painting wagon.  I have three canvases that I've been wanting to finish or do a little more work on and even though
I have ideas for new pieces, I'm making myself get these done first.
That's one reason why multiple projects don't really work so well for me- it feels like nothing gets done!

For today- I pulled out the previously named "Soul Music" and got the finishing touches done (yay me!)
Here is "A Little Night Music"- for more pictures, she's in my Etsy shop HERE

And here is what she looked like before....
You can see that the cello was once blue (which I liked, but not with the background) I also changed the shadow on her face and added more "hair" flowing into the trees- also, no more stars...
I like them in the photo, but in real life, they somehow detracted from the over all effect.
I'm so happy to be in time for Paint Party Friday this week- I've really missed visiting the artists!
Have a great day!
Stephanie

I posted tonight for the first time in ages too-i didnt even have your busy redecorating excuse, I just couldn't get round to blogging! these are all lovely pieces and I'm glad you're getting to put the finishing touches to them so you can get started on the other ideas you have.

I am THRILLED that you are back. I have definitely missed you and your art. Looks like your changes worked. I agree the stars are distracting, and the change in hair is wonderful. Have a super weekend.

I'm so glad you're back, too! are you going to post pics of the newly painted rooms? :)

I've been limping by with once a week posts, in the summer things just slow down for a lot of us in blogland. But I'm soooo glad you're back and your paintings are beautiful as usual. I like your changes to Soul Music, great job!

xx Jaime

I love the lines of her hair, the way they echo the lines of the tree branches! Lovely!

I adore her hair as one with the branches of the tree behind her...the whole effect is quite wonderful.

The top paintings look equally good as well.
HPPF!

those are wonderful - I love that her hair flows into the tree, as if she just came out of the tree to play for the night. Beautiful.

Great finishing. Nice choice with the new cello colour, I liked the blue as well, but that does make the piece stronger. Will be great to see what you do with the other pieces you want to finish.

Sorry I am a bit late for last week's PPF. This reaches out to so many of my senses. I love how her hair is flowing. All the movement in this makes me feel like I can actually hear what she is playing. I can feel the cool air. Fabulous painting!

Parallel lives you and I.
I always loved that cello painting. I don't know how you find ways to better what I thought was perfect, but you did!
I wanna see pictures of your walls next. x♥x
