29 Faces...Days 10 thru 12

As a Mom, Artist, Wife and (much more things that I won't bore you with here;)) I have to budget my time carefully.  Knowing that later this afternoon my kids will come piling through the door for the beginning of a 10 day break, I'm going to have to get a little ahead of myself if I want to keep up with the 29 Facers!

So for today, I did 5 more wee little faces.  Because they're only about the size of a dime, I'm only gonna count them for 3 days.....and here they are:

I like the way they tuck in along her veil/halo/hood whatever that thing is- the muse said to paint it,
and who am I to ignore voices in my head!
I also did a little more background work- it's getting closer to where I want it to be- but maybe a little "Primary Colors" dominant than I'd like......and I'm not crazy about all the circles- I might paint them out and start over with more "Klimtish" circles....
For now though, this is what I gots!

Hi Stephanie♥
I just started at the bottom and worked my way up to here on your painting. It is always so much fun to see the progress. This painting will be your best yet! I love the Kimt-y influence and also something reminded me of Frida. I think it is that face with the 2 halves... asymmetrical?
And the hearts and the way you have placed them totally makes the painting so interesting in that you can mix it up and hang it different ways. It seems like a self portrait piece...the many faces of you (or a lot of women) Mother, Lover, Goddess. And the one with her newly fixed arm...is she showing how strong she is...or how tired? I think both. It is a brilliant concept and a beautiful work of art.
You always take it to new heights.

Ooh, look at you! Getting two days ahead! Clever woman!

I adore how this is evolving. It's so interesting with the many faces, and the way everything flows. It's Klimt-esque as well as Stephanie-esque! I love the colors just as they are...to me they're just far enough away from "primary" ~ I wouldn't even think 'primary colors' when I look at it.

Noooooooo.........don't paint out your circle faces! LOL I think your painting is developing really nicely. You mentioned not liking the "primary color" thing going on. So many of Klimt's imagery contains black. I'm wondering if you include some black or "darker darks" into your painting if that might not help? I've done a couple Klimt inspired pieces myself. When you visit my blog again, you can see them by clicking on the "Messin' with the Master's" link on the sidebar. I'd love to compare notes sometime :o) BTW - I agree - clowns are creepy! LOL
