I will actually have some time to paint a little more today- I think I want to put the leaves aside for a bit and get the Clematis painted in because their color (magenta) will affect how the other colors read. So, hopefully, I'll be able to post more tomorrow before all the business of the day sets in!
And here is my palette...
I'm off to see what everyone else did for P&P- you should too, it's always such a beautiful collection!Have a wonderful day!

Wow you and the kids sound busy! I'm loving the shadow plays on the bird bath and the vine growing up and out of the painting. this is looking just beautiful :) You are so talented Stephanie!
Lovely beginning!!
I love this painting! Have fun, and don't go crazy with all your duties and graduations etc! Hugs, Valerie
Stunning, as always Stephanie. I enjoy your colour palette and composition choices. Those leaves are coming up beautifully. Happy Painting and thanks for playing along this week, I really appreciate it as I know some weeks can just be a Whirlwind and you struggle to do all you have hoped. xx
I stopped by yesterday and when I did, my computer crashed. I'm having a horrible time with it. Took me 8 hours to get back online.
I just had to tell you how much I like this and I agree that the flowers will impact how the rest of the canvas reads. I so appreciate how you analyze the painting to help us understand it better.
BTW, congrats on your daughter's graduation.
Congrats on graduation - to BOTH of you! I remember how accomplished I felt to get our boys to graduation - what a wonderful time! Loving the painting and anxiously awaiting color on the flowers ;o)
