Paint Party Friday (a day early ;))

I finally have it all together enough to once more be part of Paint Party Friday!  YAY!  I've missed visiting all the amazing artists and seeing what they've been up to, but I never want to comit until I know I'll be able to visit 80+ blogs!
Anyway, here I am and I have my pages for Angie's journal finished.

I ended up using two quotes instead of one- unusual for me, but what can I say?  The muse told me to, so I DID!  I extended my page so both quotes would show when the spread was first opened, but not all of the painting.

And here it is fully open.  It probably doesn't look like I changed much from yesterday, mostly, I added more butterflies and expanded on the roots, but decided to leave them white.
Be sure to stop by Paint Party Friday tomorrow- always SO much to see there!
That's all for now,
Stephanie

Perfect. I was hoping you would leave the roots white...and the 2 quotes are in harmony. ♥♥♥

Beautiful! Angie will love this. I'm loving how you have kept to a style with all your pages, yet each one is so unique!

The quotes are so perfect, and I love the vibrant red!

I love, love, love this. Sorry I missed yesterday, but caught up before I read this post. I really like how your two flaps reflect the painting, but I also like that they are so different in your color choices.

I know you see a cherry tree, but I see a woman with outstretched arms, reaching for the sky and releasing butterflies in the process. It's an amazing piece.

yaya, welcome back! I love this - I especially love this quote as I was born to travel and only wish I could do it more - my roots never seem to go deeper than a couple of years in any one place and I'm itching to get up and go again after being stuck here now for the last 9!!

The tree is amazing - those roots and the details on the branches!

I'm sorry I'm so late commenting on this Stephanie, I am so behind at the moment! I can't believe this gorgeous gorgeous art is coming to me! You've picked my favourite colours and 2 of my favourite subjects and I couldn't love it more! I'm glad your muse told you go with the 2 quotes, she advised you well; I love the way it opens out. Thank you so very much sweetie xx
