Once I get my last 2 WIP's done, my next planned piece is from a picture I took at the Atlanta Flower Show a couple of years ago. It was part of a competition of window boxes, and I just loved it! This year's flower show is coming up next month and I can't WAIT It's like a whispered reminder that spring is around the corner with all the Hyacinths, and tulips and daffodils everywhere, plus SO many ideas for gardening AND inspirations for painting....like I said, I can't wait!
For now, I will bask in memories and anticipation for the next show, while I paint this beautifully mossy lady.
So, here's my entry for this week's challenge at Inspiration Avenue; the theme is "What Inspires You?" and for me, of course it has to be flowers, gardens and women....
Have a warm and wonderful Thursday. here in Georgia, we've been stuck in the snow and ice since Monday...the kids are celebrating the longest snow break they have ever had, and I'm starting to crawl the walls- just a bit :)
Don't forget to stop by Inspiration Avenue on Sunday to see what everyone else came up with for the challenge. As always, the results are sure to be fantastic!
Cheers,
Stephanie

It is inspiring, makes me want to create a space like this somewhere in the garden.
I, too, am constantly inspired by gardens(nature and home)!
Wow! I wouldn't have the first idea how or where to start...I guess that is one of the things that fascinates me...real talent like yours. A gift. I am staring at my tulips everyday...I love the painting and it completely boggles my mind.

She reminds me so much of the planters I create each spring. There is something wonderful about flowers, nature and women isn't there? We, as women, are soft looking and sway with the breeze, just like those beautiful flowers you always create.
Wow, this is a great challenge piece. I missed it yesterday. I've been so far behind on visiting blogs this week! I love the planter, and I agree with Cheryl. It reminds me of her planters, but of course, this is your style, which I love.
So love the garden photo and I know your painting is going to be even more lovely. I so agree with Cher..there is something about flowers, nature and women...the biggest being to me, that even with our delicate look as the flower, with our strengths as in nature we can withstand so much.
Hugs,
Regi
This is so beautiful, I just love it. I, too, find a lot of inspiration in my garden and while gardening. The tulips are already bopping their little heads through the soil!
My garden looks so sorry for itself at the moment, but I did notice a couple of bulb shoots starting to show... maybe Spring is not as far away as it seems!
I love gardens, flowers and inspiration from them.
Lovely photograph. Happy creative weekend, Theresa
So pretty...your muse waits for you in the garden.
She is rather fabulous - doesn't she look wise, I wonder what she would say if she could talk! Hope the snow melts and you can see some flowers coming through very soon! xx
It's hard to imagine any of the three without the other two!
Good job!
