Paint Party Friday- Week 51!

It's Friday, and you know what that means; time for Paint Party Friday!   So I've worked and reworked my Klimt Homage- adding faces, and then muting them out, or eradicating them completely.  I've painted this background so many different colors I couldn't possibly list them all and finished it off with a "Q" in each corner to give the feel of a playing card.  As always, I still see things I want to do to improve it, and I will!  But for now; here's my painting as close to finished as you all have ever seen it.....

Should I list the thoughts I have while looking at this on the monitor?
  1. To make it look more like a card, I could add an outline around the edges
  2. As much as I love the "Frida face" I'm not sure she belongs here, should she be allowed to stay?
  3. I'm happy with the purple I added in the upper right hand corner- should there be some teal (and other colors?) to balance the comp?
That's all for now, whatever I decide to do; for today, I'm sketching out a new flower painting.  And yes, I said sketching, I'm a bit over intuitive painting AND faces for a bit!  In the meantime, DO stop by Paint Party Friday and visit the artists there, so much beauty to see!
Toodles,
Stephanie

Love it but if you think it needs changes, my instructor says to look at your piece in the mirror and you can see it so differently and it helps.

Wow, I love the purple that you added and the way it is reflected in the girls hair. I hadn't noticed the Q's before, is this the first time we've seen them?

I'm not sure you need to outline along the edges, it works as is and maybe doesn't need to be so literal. Just my thoughts ;)

I really like the way the purple and the golds are working together and I think the addition of teal would be great. But I don't think you need to add too much.

This is beautiful Stephanie. I would swear I see Caroline's face in there. did you paint her as one of the faces? (the one under the black rectangle.) Is the Frida face the one with the feathers tickling her cheek? I like her.

Stay safe today with the storms.
xx Jaime

Outstanding! It just gets more and more fascinating and beautiful this painting.

I like Frida. I'm not sure making it look more like a card would enhance it and it might detract. I really like the purple and suggest adding a bit of the same colour as a highlight to the diagonal side to balance it rather than a new colour (or a shade off). Hope that helps!

Amazing painting Stephanie!

the face i think you are referring to as the 'frida face' just seems to need a little more work, the other featured faces seem softer and more developed...just my opinion because your asked! lovely work though...i could see some aqua in there somewhere...pop colors...happy ppf!

But I know that if/when you make changes, they only make your work even better! Whatever you decide to do will be the perfect touch. PPF hugs to you! :-)

I think your (almost) finished painting looks wonderful. Every little bit you added or removed just made it better. So trust your instincts on this one!
