Happy Monday, sorry my posts have been so few and far between. It's been crazy busy around here and most of it not art related! Anyway, I finished my Frida pages in
Priti Lisa's book last week, in fact
Maggie should be getting them today! Only one book left and then all the books head home- I can't WAIT to see mine in real life- what an amazing treasure!
So here is the first page where I cut it so the Frida quote peeks through. Thank you,
Cheryl of Healing Woman for the quote- I thought it was the perfect choice of words!
Then it opens to the second spread of a Frida shrine amongst moon flowers and the quote......
Some close ups; believe it or not Frida's face is about the size of a dime and I had a REALLY hard time with it, but I'm pretty pleased with it now!
That's all for now, it's gonna be another busy week for me, I have two days of art class plus the Farmer's Market, and I'm thinking of starting a small canvas based on these Fridas I just did, I've got a little Frida obsession going I think!
Have a wonderful day!

Ooh she's so beautiful. You are so talented! Lisa (the other one) will love her :)
Oh Wow Stephanie!! This turned out so beautiful, she is gonna flip when she see's it in real life. Wish I could see it in real life. I can't believe you did such a fabulous job on Frida's face with it being so small. Well done my friend!
I'm jealous that everyone is getting their books back. We are so behind with Creative Sistah books. Hopefully the rusty wheels are starting to turn again, I sent my book to Brandy last week and hopefully Lori will send her 3 books to me soon.
This is totally, absolutely, wonderfully fantastic - can you tell I like it!? Hugs Valerie
I knew I was in for a treat when you said we could Peek!! You never disappoint to thrill, excite and amaze me with your fabulous work!
Absolutely stunning and I know Lisa will be standing by her mailbox when she knows it is about to arrive!!
Thanks for sharing. What a treat!!

I'm holding this journal in my hand right at this moment, Steph! It came in the mail today. What a strange feeling to be seeing it on your blog and in person at the same time. As gorgeous as your photos are, it is even more so in reality! Lisa will love it!! Frida is a favorite of mine too, I'm not surprised that you have a little Frida obsession!
Beautiful pages - your talent never fails to amaze me! The shrine with the moon flowers is beyond gorgeous. Stunning. I love it & I'm sure Lisa is going to adore and treasure your pages.
I too have been been behind with my blogging but today posted my spoiler for my pages in Tammy's journal.

Very, very impressive. I'm so glad to see you back. Seems like it's full speed ahead now.
Life does have a way of getting in the way here lately. Sending thoughts of less stress and happiness your way my sweet friend.
Love your work...always have..always will!!!
Hugs,
Regi
I'm not sure how I missed your lovely post of Frida. Priceless. I love the muted tones you used and the leaf spread surrounding her. Thank you also for giving a link back to my blog. There's just something about Frida that captivates us isn't there?
