Palette & Paint Thursday!

Happy Thursday- here's where I'm at with my new little painting- I got a LOT done yesterday so now all I have left to do is touch ups and tweaking here and there.
I wish I'd taken a picture yesterday because I liked her face better then and I'd know what direction to go in to get it back to that point.
I'll get there, it just might take a little time:)

And here's my palette- looks rather like a Christmas palette; doesn't it?
I'm off to a really busy day- it's my daughter's 18th birthday and we're having the whole family over, so I have to get cooking plus I have my students coming for a class this afternoon and a commission that I'm working on needs to have some paint thrown at it!  Whew- I got a little tired just listing it all!
Be sure to stop by Tracey Potter's blog and see the other WIP's and their palettes- it's always a beautiful collection to behold!
Have a wonderful day,
Stephanie

Love the colors and the face -you?
I think of red and green as gardens!!!

It wasn't until you pointed out the red and green Christmas palette that I made that collation. Peggy's right, red and green are found a lot in gardens.

Your painting is looking fantastic Stephanie, I like the way you are building up the image, You'll get back to a point that you are happy with, it will be an even better painting for it.

Thanks for taking the time to share with us, I know how hard it is to show work in progress and to post when you've got other commitments and obligations.

I hope you had a great Birthday Celebration, a good class and that some paint got thrown at the commission. Sounds like you're one busy lady.

Happy Creating xx

First, I hope your daughter had a lovely birthday. How fast they grow up.

Second, I am having a terrible time with Blogger. Nothing is working right and I keep getting sent to various blogs that have nothing to do with you or your comment area.

Oh crap! I forgot to mention I like how the painting is coming along. Yes, it DOES look a bit like Christmas in the close-up view.
