WOW- 52 Weeks of Paint Party Friday!

And I am SO proud to say that I was there for the very first one and have participated almost every week since!  This is such a wonderful thing that Kristin and Eva do each week; give all us artists a chance to connect and enjoy one anothers work.  Thank you Kristin and Eva- you guys are amazing!
I've been working on putting together a collection of small affordable paintings and that's what I have to share today.
First my "Fleur de Lis" (at least I think that's what I'm calling it ;))
this is for the most part done- I just want to do little touch ups here and there.  I really liked the effect of composing it on the  diagonal- good thing too, 'cause sketching it out kicked my butt!  I can't tell you how many times I had to erase everything and start over...but I do really like the effect!
Oh and just FYI; this is 6" x 6" on a 1" deep canvas; so it has a really nice impact on the wall!  I'll be asking $65.00 for each of these little guys!
I thought yesterday's "sneak peek" with Mojo looking in the window was fun.....
that's how she tells me shes ready to entre.  Nope, this kitten is NOT spoiled at all- I promise!

Ya'll have a wonderful day- and try to get around to visit Paint Party Friday-
SO much beauty and friendship to find there!
x
Stephanie

Painting this angle must be difficult, but yet again you have achieved perfection. Happy PPF. Enjoy the weekend, Annette x

am I a bad person when I saw the cat looking in the window and immediately thought of poking my tongue out at it... funny how some things make us retreat to the juvenile, and before you say it some of us never grow out of it, but at least I can be grown up for long enough to say that the return to flowers is a triumph and you kicked its butt right back... this is awesome and I love the diagonal composition... very cool... can't wait to see the next one!!!

I can't believe you got this painting finished so quickly. It is gorgeous. The shading is perfect, the background has so much depth, and your color palette is perfect. After all, opposites really DO attract!

Good luck at the show, dear. I'm very impressed with both pieces.

Congrats on celebrating 52 weeks of fun on PPF.

I looked on your sidebar and didn't find the IA icon. I noticed you weren't mentioned as one of the members on the IA team this week, either. Does this mean you are no longer with them? I hope all is well, and that you are just busy taking your art in a new direction. In fact, I don't think I've seen you post on that blog for about six weeks. Just an observation. No explanation needed or expected!

The diagonal painting is awesome. I can totally identify with (had to start erase and start over on sections) your issues. You are certainly not alone on that one. Blessings, Janet PPF

Really gorgeous floral painting. I think your size and price seem just right, and I wish you continued luck. I also have two brother cats who are indoor-outdoor. I just don't like that I have them scratching the screens to get my attention when they want to come in!!
