Inspiration Avenue Weekly Challenge_ "Autumn's Splendor"

I finished my September page for Brandy's journal just in time to use for this week's challenge at Inspiration Avenue.  The theme was "Autumn's Splendor".   I ended up using a quote by e. e. cummings instead of Robert Frost and added a few more details into the leaves and mask.
Be sure to stop by Inspiration Avenue on Sunday to see what everyone else submitted- there's always a gorgeous variety of art to see!
Cheers,
Stephanie

OK, now I see what you did to make these two pages. I really like the darker, more pronounced colors these turned into. And the e e cummings poem is actually perfect. However, that's how I've felt about summer this year (grin).

This is really wonderful, great poem too! I thought maybe I'd be done and submit to IA too but I'm a little behind!

Amazing how much it has changed from Friday - and I like it a lot. The white writing is perfect, and I love the bigger contrast in the image now. It's very beautiful.

I love these swirling red oak leaves. And I love how they have turned into a mask! Brilliant! And the poem is perfect for it.

So pretty Stephanie! You know I am Cummings biggest fan, I was thinking about that poem, but chose a different poet for once. Now I am glad I did! ♥♥♥

Wonderful, swirling, delicate shapes - this really feels like leaves blowing in an autumn gust! I love the muted colours. It has lots of subtlety yet strength too. You've excelled yourself Steph!

Ooh, the leaf mask is genius! LOVE these colors. So much here for the eye to drink in. Add to that the poetry and it's perfect! :)

Can feel the north wind blowing the leaves around, love the mystery of them swirling into a mask and the EE Cummings poem was a wonderful touch!
